How was the resulting meth?

EDIT:  did anyone watch "Breaking Bad" this past spring?  It was on AMC, and was the dad from Malcolm in the Middle, and involved him as a chemistry teacher, diagnosed with lung cancer, making meth to try and make money for his family.  At one point him and his partner buy a ton of cold medicine to make meth, which this comment reminded me of.  It is a really good show, I am hoping it comes back for season 2.  .........................

I caught one episode. It was a strange mix of genre's, but I liked the style. There was some conjecture that the premise is too similar to Weeds for it to survive (a la Wonderfalls being cancelled because of Joan of Arcadia's popularity (and subsequent fellow cancellation. Suck it.)) but I'd be interested to see more.

Breaking Bad isn't cancelled, is it? Just cut short because of the writer's strike? .........................

Yeah, I think it was either cut short because of the strike or it started late because of it (or stopped short of a full season because that was the time when seasons were supposed to end). I really hope it gets picked up, but the fact that it was on AMC I think would keep a lot of people from stumbling into it. I don't even remember how I heard about it, but I did DVR the hell out of it! .........................

To my knowledge, it was supposed to be a shorter season to begin with, and then the writer's strike made it even shorter.  If you go on the website, the forums has pretty good support, and a lot of people expressing their wish for a second season.  I sure hope it does go to season 2!

PS - thanks for making this a topic, skeez!  I thought about doing it, but liked the segue into the show topic from a drug refernce on a thread about gun control.  That totally makes sense. .........................

New episode today. Apparently this got picked up for a third season. Get it while it's hot!

EDIT: Hrm, looking at Epguides it would appear this is going to be a short season. I hope it's just a lack of data at this point, but it's possible they were only supposed to run 2 full seasons and now they are just wrapping things up with a half season (to balance out the 1st one being a half season). We'll have to wait and see I guess. .........................

I caught parts of the Breaking Bad marathon they had this past weekend.  I watched season 1 intently, havent' seen any of season two besides what I saw this past weekend...I need to get caught up so I can start watching the season 3 episode.  I hope it sticks around longer than this season! .........................

Season 2 is pretty solid. They seemed to have wrapped things up pretty well there, but Season 3 is definitely starting off with a bang. Well, that's not true; it was a slow episode, but it paved the way for much more craziness to come! Get on that shit, man!! .........................
